Continuum is a representation of the lifecycle of “home.” The circular form references a finite timeline. The individual components are modeled after A-frame roof trusses. Built from the rotted mantel from my home, Continuum illustrates a transition through physical transformation of the personally significant object. The gradation in color is created by organizing the color variation from the single slab of water damaged heart pine.
